The inspiration behind
EarthWhorls' distinctive
handmade jewelry is the natural beauty, diversity,
power and passion of the world around us. The artisan
gemstone jewelry designs that appear on this site are
unique creations; each is one-of-a-kind and no piece is ever
replicated. The reason for this is the desire to stay true to the
landscapes that produce the glorious gemstones I am privileged to
work with. Whether opals from Peru and Australia or, turquoise from
the American south west and Africa, each gemstone necklace, earring,
bracelet and anklet attempts to represent its origins and to create a
connection, for the wearer, to the natural world.
Genuine handmade
jewelry is a labor of love. Each raw
gemstone necklace, turquoise

earrings, is a gift from nature to you. My role is
simply to provide the stage upon which stone and pearl and silver and
crystal can perform.
What makes our designs
unique is that each handcrafted
jewelry concept begins with the stones and silver,
pearls and crystal and evolves in the same way these earth offerings
were created. I work slowly, patiently, and with the greatest of
care and respect for the persona of each stone and for the story it
wants to tell. Mostly, each design is a celebration of the most
beautiful creations on earth.
The Role
of Silver in Handcrafted Jewelry
As a designer of
jewelry I am totally captivated by the possibilities of silver. The
splendid selection of silver findings available to jewelry designers
is limitless. I use sterling
silver for many of my chains and connectors but
celebrate the unique qualities of Hill
Tribe silver and Bali
silver as well. These superbly handcrafted silver
beads and charms, from Indonesia, add texture and substance and
contrast to the EarthWhorls collection of stylish handmade jewelry.
And, because the
environments that produce these unique
gemstones are ever changing and evolving, and the
stones and silver, pearls and crystals that I use in my designs offer
as many possibilities as there are stars in the sky, I strive to find

FashionEyes
- Functional Unique Jewelry Designs
One of our designs,
FashionEyes, is a collection of necklaces that are not only beautiful
to look at but, functional as well. Each piece features an option
for the wearer to "store" their glasses. In some cases the piece
has a removable charm that creates a very finished looking,
fashionable necklace and when removed, there is still a lovely
necklace but, now there is a place to put the arm of your glasses
through; keeping them always close at hand. FashionEyes

Wrap-It - One-of-a-Kind Jewelry That's a Necklace, Bracelet and Anklet
We've already
introduced our Wrap-It collection, handcrafted jewelry that can be
worn in three ways: necklaces, bracelets, anklets. Simply wrap the
piece three times around your wrist to wear it as a beautiful
bracelet, twice around your ankle as a rare gemstone anklet, or once
around your neck as a stylish necklace. You get three pieces of
jewelry for the price of one! This collection is filled with all one
of a kind jewelry. We will be adding many new designs
to this handmade jewelry concept in the near future.
