What an amazing time of year this is. I think what I love best about November/December is not the holidays themselves but that, because of them, I get a chance to see my family and spend quiet, quality time with them.
We just celebrated the most fantastic Thanksgiving. The turkey was 30 pounds and the love and laughter were immeasurable. Seventeen of us gathered to hug and hold one another, to reminisce about past holidays and to embrace the moment. It was a time of emotion and enormous thankfulness. Our plates are full to overflowing and we do not take a moment, a second for granted!
And because times of celebration are also times of commemoration in the form of gift giving, wine drinking, toast making, and story telling, I thought it appropriate to start out the holiday season by introducing you to my December Collection.
Each design means something special to me: from the pearls that remind me of my mother and grandmother (who never left home without their pearl necklaces) to the turquoise that reminds me of my daughter, who is an avid lover of all things western, to the elegance of black and white that reminds me of my very fashionable, well loved sister. The giving of jewelry as a gift is, I think, a way of making the moment last into the next celebration and the next and the one after that… It is, in a way, a toast to the future, a story to be told over and over.
And so, in the spirit of the season, I invite you to enjoy my December Collection of fabulous fashions that were inspired, as always, by memories and, the magnificence, the grandeur of the natural world – this planet – this place – we all call home!
And just before closing this message, I would like to print a correction to the link that appeared in last week’s blog/email. The correct link for the clothing line of Christian Robinson is: Reliveclothing.com Like me, Christian celebrates his creations and wants very much to share them with you.
Let’s kick December off in “style!”
