I can think of no gemstone better suited to summer accessories, than aquamarine.  Its coloring is perfection, ranging from an almost clear, pale blue to green or even teal.  The most prized of all natural stone aquamarine is the deep-blue aqua reminiscent of tropical waters.

Aquamarine are the perfect stone to work with when creating jewelry designs as they stand beautifully on their own but also, lend themselves to creating remarkable patterns when paired with other stones, pearls, and silver.  The most valuable aquamarine may be found in Brazil but they are also found in Kenya, Nigeria, Madagascar, Afghanistan, and Russia.

Undoubtedly, when ancients found these amazing gemstones, they must have thought them to be almost hypnotic in their beauty and bright, brilliant coloring.  Consequently, over the centuries, aquamarine has been associated with many metaphysical and healing properties, these include: foresight and courage, increased intelligence and, restoration of youthfulness.  In the Middle Ages, healers used aquamarine to lessen anxiety and nervous disorders.  Many, historically, also believed that these remarkable stones would reduce the effects of poisons (useful in a time period when poisoning was a preferred method of dispatching one’s enemies.)

Perhaps the fact that aquamarine is associated with water, due to its coloring, encouraged people to presume that if you wear it when on the sea, you will never suffer from sea sickness.

Celebrating Aquamarine means a 50% off Sale on all aquamarine designs for one week, using the discount code AQUAMARINE

Where do you sell your aquamarine jewelry? Can’t seem to find it.
