EarthWhorls Celebrates Amethyst
Well, here we are in the dog days of summer! And I couldn’t be happier. I love summer! I love the heat and the sudden storms that come barreling in over the Litchfield hills behind my fields, lighting up the sky in bursts of color. I love the summer sunsets, when blue turns to gold and then fades into shades of mauve and purple.
And speaking of purple… EarthWhorls has recently added a Stone Library to our website www.earthwhorls.com I’ve spent hours, days, weeks researching stones, their healing qualities, spiritual energies, chakra connections, historical facts and fiction and, of course, anecdotal stories about famous people who have worn and treasured these stones.
Today, I’m celebrating amethyst. One of my most favorite stones! It is passionate, pensive, pure, and priceless in its beauty. Did you know, for example, that “The name “amethyst” comes from Ancient Greek and means, ‘intoxicated?” And, “It must be purple to be an amethyst but, it can range from deep purple shades to light lilac, lavender, and mauve.”
Here’s what I’d like to do to celebrate amethyst. Just leave a comment beneath this blog telling me why you love amethyst and I’ll send you, by email, a secret code for 25% off all amethyst designs! Simple and fun and, if you know a fact about amethyst that I missed, please let me know so I can add it to our Stone Library (and I’ll give you credit!!!)
Have a great Summer day!
