EarthWhorls Counting Down to the Holidays 30% off all Handmade & Murano Glass

by Susan A. Katz December 01, 2016

I am, as many of you know, a lover of natural elements.  I collect stones from all over the world; pebbles from beaches, rocks from mountain tops and the occasional (when I’ve been very lucky) fossil found in some remote place.  Most of my jewelry designs reflect my passion for nature.

Because I also love how nature is interpreted through art, I adore working with really beautifully made, handmade glass.  I love the way glass artists create colors and patterns that echo the beauty of natural landscapes.  This week, one week only, I’m celebrating the holidays with a 30% off sale on all our handmade & Murano glass designs.

A passion for handmade glass, as jewelry and for utilitarian and decorative purposes, goes all the way back to Roman days when glass was molded rather than blown. As the process evolved, glass blowing became the process of choice and archaeologists have discovered, on a Venetian Island, what they believe to be old glass furnaces dating back to the 8th century. Today, there are a number of inventive ways to achieve artful glass creations and EarthWhorls happily uses glass from local artists to designs from the Island of Murano, off the coast of Italy.

Handmade glass is elegant, exciting, evocative and perfect for gift giving or wearing to all those fabulous holiday parties.

Next week, just to give you a heads up, we’ll be celebrating a natural element; not going to tell you which one, you’ll just have to tune in to find out.

Have a great week and do, check out our one of a kind, handmade glass designs.  You’re going to love them!
