Meant to dazzle, this long, striking agate, pearl and sterling silver necklace combines contrasting elements to create an eye catching design that is not only beautiful but, a resounding echo of the landscapes that inspired it. I live in New England and look out over the fields behind my house at hills that stretch as far as the eye can see. They are turning to fall - browns and golds and splashes of red compete with the fading green of summer. This necklace, which I call "Rolling Hills" uses the deep, dark essence of brown to coppery gold pearls and the bright and cheerful tones of green in agate stones that are raw cut and polished, to recreate that landscape. I finished the piece with a toggle of sterling silver that has a "lazy" flower design - though some have told me, for them it resembles a star fish. I love that about art - we all see what the heart holds dear! Length: 42"
